Stinky Shoes? Essential Oils Can Help
Do your shoes stink? Embarrassed to take your shoes off for fear that the foul odor emanating from them will cause everyone to pass out as if Pepe’ La Pew from Looney Tunes had just walked by?
Sometimes shoes smell bad. It happens. There are products on the market for eliminating foot odor, but instead of masking the foot odor with unnatural and unhealthy chemicals, essential oils can actually neutralize them.
There are a few essential oils that will work. Create your ‘stinky shoe’ spray by combining the following in a glass spray bottle:
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/8 cup vodka
- 5-10 drops of Tea Tree (Melaleuca Alternifolia)
- 5 drops of: Lavender, Lemon, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, or Peppermint
OR
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/8 cup vodka
- 10 drop of Purification essential oil (it combines Tea Tree, Lavender, Rosemary, along with Lemongrass, Myrtle, and Citronella)
Spray lightly inside your shoes after wearing.
